You are in a creative slump. :( Just draw crap until you feel better. That’s what I do with my writing. Or curl in a ball and cry. But…I know far too well what you mean. I have entire pictures in my head that never get committed to paper, and four or five unfinished digital paintings on the go.
What source are you using for reference photos? There are a couple of stock photo sources I use online if I need a particular stance.
I mainly use Google images to look for reference pictures. Not the best source but sometimes I’ll find what I’m looking for. I need to find something better though. What do you use?
There are a few…shutterstock.com has a good data base, and there’s always corbis. Just enter your perameters like, say…”hugging” and see what you get. You may need to play around to get better search terms, but I find it’s better than google as you don’t get so much random unrelated crap to wade through. Good luck! If you’re ever after some specific reference pic you can’t find I’m happy to look around if you describe it.
