I have been thinking about this for a while and I have decided that I will no longer be posting any of my art here on tumblr. I go by the same username on deviantART, so if you want to see my future work you can check there.
If you want to unfollow me I understand completely. I won’t be upset at all because I doubt I will be posting much of anything here for a while.
I don’t really know what is happening, but it looks like most of the people I interact with are leaving tumblr.
As a result, my presence here will probably diminish as well. I don’t have many followers and I think less than ten of them interact with me on a daily basis. If most of the people who even seem to care about me are leaving I don’t really see the point in spending most of my time here.
I won’t leave tumblr completely, but without most of my friends here I am usually met with silence and I feel as though I’m posting to thin air.
So there are a couple of little things in the show that I noticed that I want to get out before I forget about them. There was a lot more that I’m forgetting at the moment.
After Fantine is fired, one of the factory girls tries to go up to her to comfort her but one of the other girls pushes her away to stop her. Then as they were going off stage she kind of hesitates before leaving Fantine behind.
A little before Valjean requests to shoot Javert, Grantaire is standing next to Javert and offers him his bottle of wine by just shoving it in his face. Javert turns his head away, then Grantaire just shrugs and takes a drink.
At the wedding, the Major Domo kept making an “I’m watching you” gesture to Madam Thenardier. It was hilarious watching their exchange.
Oh and Vee, I made sure to pay attention this time and Madam Thenardier did not accost Enjolras with her breasts today.
I really, really missed Jason and Joe. There were moments when I caught myself trying to look for them in the beginning of the first act and I had to remind myself that they weren’t there. I tried so hard not to compare anyone to them, but I couldn’t help it. They are amazing and I really missed them. Hopefully they will be there in San Diego.

I know far too well what you mean. I have entire pictures in my head that never get committed to paper, and four or five unfinished digital paintings on the go.
What source are you using for reference photos? There are a couple of stock photo sources I use online if I need a particular stance.
I mainly use Google images to look for reference pictures. Not the best source but sometimes I’ll find what I’m looking for. I need to find something better though. What do you use?
There are a few…shutterstock.com has a good data base, and there’s always corbis. Just enter your perameters like, say…”hugging” and see what you get. You may need to play around to get better search terms, but I find it’s better than google as you don’t get so much random unrelated crap to wade through. Good luck! If you’re ever after some specific reference pic you can’t find I’m happy to look around if you describe it.

I’ve been drawing crap for months now. I’m just getting fed up with it. I’m only happy with about 1% of the stuff that I have drawn lately. Everything else will probably never see the light of day again unless I already erased it.
I can see the image so clearly in my head and I can’t put it down on paper. I hate that I can’t seem to draw anything without using a reference picture because I very rarely find exactly what I need.
I have a ton of ideas and I can’t really do any of them right now because I keep drawing crap. I’m just seriously doubting my drawing skills right now. I hope I snap out of it soon because I hate feeling this way and I can’t draw at all when I’m in this kind of mood.

It’d be so tragic otherwise. There’s Enjolras with his head bowed, wishing his Combeferre was with him, and there’s transparent spirit Combeferre just holding him from behind.
That would be so heartbreaking.
I might have to try sketching this one out. I could always do multiple drawings revolving around this headcanon.

So I had the idea of doing an illustration of Enjolras at Combeferre’s grave. My idea for the composition is that he will be holding Combeferre’s glasses with one hand and touching the headstone with the other with his head slightly bowed down.
I was also thinking of trying to include Combeferre’s ghost/spirit in there as well. I’m still debating whether I want him to be standing next to Enjolras and touching his shoulder or standing by the headstone and touching his hand. Whichever looks best.
I don’t know if I will ever do it, but I’ve had this idea for a while now and it won’t leave me alone.

The only reason I posted that headcanon was because it ties into my drawing idea.
E/Ferre:
who is the big spoon/little spoon: Combeferre is totally the big spoon and Enjolras is perfectly happy with that.
what is their favorite non-sexual activity: They love quietly reading together. Enjolras likes to lean against Combeferre as he reads because Combeferre usually strokes his hair.
who uses all the hot water in the morning: Whoever beats the other to the shower first.
what they order from take out: Whatever Combeferre is in the mood for.
what is the most trivial thing they fight over: They don’t really fight that often. They have disagreements, but it hardly ever turns into a fight.
who does most of the cleaning: Combeferre
what has a season pass in their DVR: ?
who leaves their stuff around: They both do, but Combeferre has more stuff because of all of his different collections.

Combeferre died at the barricade while Enjolras survived. He wasn’t allowed to go to his funeral because he was still recovering from his injuries. So he requested that he be allowed to keep Combeferre’s pair of glasses (one of the things Enjolras loved most about his lover’s appearance).
He keeps them with him at all times to remind himself that Combeferre is watching over him and that he will be reunited with him one day.

I’d go the extra mile and state that as Enjolras got older and he needed reading glasses, he had them put the lenses into Combeferre’s so he could wear ‘em. Additional closeness to his BFF and I’m betting they make him feel smarter.
I like that.
It kind of leads into another headcanon where Enjolras liked to take Combeferre’s glasses when they were younger. He liked to wear them because he felt smarter, but sometimes he liked to hide them from Combeferre.
So if Combeferre’s glasses ever went missing, Enjolras was his first suspect. At least until they met Courfeyrac.
